Mandarin Art Festival

  • 12447 Mandarin Road Jacksonville, FL, 32223 United States (map)

One of the most outstanding achievements of the Mandarin Community Club, a local non-profit organization, is the annual Mandarin Art Festival held every Easter weekend since 1968. Founded in 1968 by Judge Westberry and a group of local artists, it's the longest running event of its kind in northeast Florida.

The Mandarin Art Festival, a high-quality juried fine art event, enjoys thousands of visitors who return year after year for their favorite artists or to see the array of creations by artists new to the festival. For many this has become an Easter weekend tradition. Many generations of Mandarin children have enjoyed and remember the Easter Egg Hunt which was as part of the weekend activities. And, many of those children may have had their artistic talent recognized in their school’s artwork submissions in the Children’s Art Show at the Art Festival.

The show is a vital funding source for the Mandarin Community Club's preservation, education and beautification work in the Mandarin community.

Bake Sale

The Mandarin Art Festival isn't complete without a traditional bake sale. Baked goods are generously donated by friends and members of the Mandarin Community Club and Mandarin Art Festival. The bake sale is held on Saturday (and sometimes extended into Sunday) of the Easter weekend event inside the Clubhouse. Proceeds from the bake sale aid the Mandarin Community Club's efforts in preservation and beautification work.

Prize Drawings

The annual Mandarin Art Festival prize drawing benefits the maintenance of the Mandarin Community Club grounds, including Billard Commemorative Park. Prizes vary every year depending on the sponsorship and donations secured. Example of past prizes included tickets for the Jaguars game and The Players Championship, various dining gift cards, donated artwork by artist exhibitors, St. Augustine adventure package, and more.

Information and tickets can be obtained at the Prize Table from our volunteers. Drawings are held on Sunday afternoon of the event weekend; winners need not to be present.

Children's Art Show & Activities

Each year for generations the Mandarin Art Festival has hosted artwork produced by talented young students around Jacksonville. We work with local schools to produce this patron-favorite event. The Children's Art Show is displayed during the Festival weekend inside the Clubhouse.

Also children's art workshops have been held inside the Clubhouse. Youth activities have included face painting and balloon animals as part of the weekend itinerary.
