Downtown Barrington is the setting for the 14th annual Barrington Art Festival, which takes place on the Saturday and Sunday of Memorial Day Weekend. This beloved art fest fills the streets with 120 artists from near and far showing and selling art in all media including paintings, sculpture, jewelry, wearables and more! Live music and youth art activities add to the weekend’s fun. Great restaurants, cafes and ice creameries line the festival route. Free admission makes this a definite yes on the planning calendar!

Attendees are invited to bring their gently used wall art to the festival where it will be donated to the Chicago Furniture Bank, a nonprofit that distributes furnishings and art to those leaving shelters and moving into permanent housing. Several artists from this show are participating in Amdur Productions’ Green Ribbon Project. Artists place a green ribbon on a piece of art in their booth, and if the piece is sold, 10% of the sale will be donated to Amdur’s charitable partner.
